OUR STORY |
Moanna founded her interiors workroom back in 1993 in Portland, Oregon. Under the direction of luxury ASID interior designer, David Hill, Moanna meticulously constructed custom draperies, slipcovers, pillows, bedding, table linens and more. Her work was featured in David Hill's ASID Show Houses, as well as Saks Fifth Avenue's Fabric of Life event.
After having moved more than a dozen times, over the span of close to 30 years, from the east coast to the west, Moanna and her husband and children settled in the charming historic village of Long Grove, Illinois, in June of 2015. As Moanna got to know realtors, the housing market, and, having moved so much over the years, she realized a great need for her experience and expertise. In Long Grove, she was encouraged by a friend, and realtor of high-end homes, to take her experience to the next level by becoming an Accredited Staging Professional® (ASP). Receiving an ASP accreditation was the first step for Moanna in building the team of professionals at Moanna’s Workroom. Through the Greater Chicago Illinois Regional Chapter® (GCIRC) of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals® (IAHSP), Moanna connected with fellow ASP's, who not only had the same zeal for staging, but also, the desire to work as a team, and to educate and empower homeowners. |
